I would like to introduce you to Clint Funk. Clint is a Sr Solutions Consultant for
Adobe. His main function with Adobe is
to support the sales team and customers.
He is the man that will explain to his sales reps why or why not a task
can be done. Clint started his career as
a photographer for a newspaper. When
publishing started, he then pursed graphic design. He would work mostly with commercial printers
at first and consulted through the 1990’s teaching others how publishing
works. Eventually he got hired in the
public sector.
He has been with adobe for roughly 17 years. When he first started at Adobe he worked in
the commercial and education department.
Clint has enjoyed his time with them as he has learned and grown in his
career. He has learned different
products Adobe offers and enjoys sharing his knowledge with others. He also enjoys working with many different
sectors within the company. There are
some obstacles he has had to overcome along the way. Such as learning the new technology as it
develops. And how to work with a variety
of people and unhappy customers. With
his upbeat personality he does try to please everyone he encounters but it does
come with challenges on certain days.
Clint works with a great team. He couldn’t stop speaking highly of
them. He emphasized what a great company
Adobe is and how his team has helped him along the way. There are times though when he must be too
honest then he would like. And when the
team doesn’t make their numbers, it can be hard. Everyone on his team has something to
contribute to his success and they all learn from each other. In their own way they are everyone’s
mentors.
The best advise Clint could give is to do your best. A little extra effort will be worth it in the
long run. Don’t just be on time to
meetings but be early. It shows you care
and motivated to be a team player. Don’t
be afraid to ask questions during the meeting.
You don’t need to know the answers to the questions, but you do need to
ask the right questions. And another
important tip of advice he would like to give is, to find a mentor. You just might be able to find the correct
answer to your question by asking your mentor.
Clint has received a couple awards throughout his career such as the
Core Value award, the Solutions Consultant Quarter award 3 times now and the
Make it happen award. Much of his success for winning the awards have been
knowing the correct answers for customers and not breaking bridges. He didn’t always have the right answers right
away, but Clint was resourceful to look for the correct answers and respond
back to the customers in a timely manner.
Clint is all about work.
He doesn’t have much of a work life/personal life balance by his own
choices. He loves what he does and
enjoys working. It keeps his mind active
and fresh. He loves public speaking and
likes what he does.
